    Aufgaben

    As a Junior Key Account Technologist (KAT), you will be part of the team that bridges customer process requirements with Lam's product development and technical execution. Embedded in PDR, NPI, and beta-site activities, you will help ensure customer use cases are accurately understood and reflected in our products and learning loops.

    The impact you'll make

    In this role, you will support key customer engagements by contributing process technology, application insights, and structured technical feedback. Working closely with senior CTM/KAT colleagues, Process Engineers, Product Management, Field Service, Marketing, Sales, and customer R&D teams, you will strengthen Lam's ability to deliver highly aligned and competitive solutions.

    This position builds foundational expertise toward becoming a customer-facing subject matter expert (SME), directly influencing early-lifecycle product success and customer satisfaction.

    What you'll do

    • Support understanding of customer processes, applications, and use cases to inform internal product and technology execution
    • Participate in PDR, NPI, and beta-site activities by contributing technical inputs, observations, and structured feedback
    • Assist in translating customer requirements and issues into clear, actionable technical information for internal teams
    • Contribute to learning loops by documenting gaps, issues, and improvement opportunities identified during execution
    • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, Field Service, and other partners to support aligned execution
    • Support customer-facing technical discussions under guidance, building confidence and credibility over time
    • Develop technical breadth and application knowledge toward becoming an effective customer-facing SME
    • Travel up to 10-15% annually to support local account teams and direct customer engagements

    Profil

    Who we're looking for

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field or an equivalent professional work experience of at least 5 years
    • +3 years of relevant industry, internship, or academic project experience
    • Foundational understanding of process technology, systems thinking, or complex technical products
    • Clear written and verbal communication skills (German & English)
    • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and work in cross functional environments

    Preferred qualifications

    • Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing, capital equipment, or complex industrial systems
    • Experience working with customers, field teams, or application focused roles
    • Familiarity with structured problem solving or requirements documentation
    • Interest in developing a customer facing technical career path

    What We're Offering

    This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for employees in the Metal Technology Industries in occupation group E, depending on education. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.

    • You'll coordinate new global store openings and pop-up events

    • You've strong organizational and communication skills, with a natural ownership mindset
    • Visual merchandising experience, or hands-on collaboration with VM teams, is a strong plus
    • You're calm under pressure and can coordinate multiple stakeholders, timelines, and priorities
    • You're willing to travel occasionally within Europe and internationally
    • You're fluent in English, German is a strong plus
