ABB is seeking an experienced Learning & Development professional to lead a strategic, combined role that bridges leadership development design and learning technology innovation. This unique opportunity allows you to shape the future of leadership learning across ABB by designing high‑impact programs (focus on mid‑level leaders) while simultaneously evolving the platforms and processes that enable learning excellence globally. You will divide your time equally between creating transformative leadership development experiences (50%) and building the technology infrastructure and processes that make learning accessible and effective for all employees (50%). This is a full‑time role requiring both strategic vision and hands‑on execution.

Key Responsibilities
50% - Leadership Learning Architect
Design and evolve a comprehensive portfolio of leadership development programs, with primary focus on mid‑level managers.
Partner with business schools and external design partners to develop innovative, blended learning experiences from concept through implementation.
Translate business needs into scalable, future‑ready learning solutions aligned with ABB's Learn, Connect & Grow framework.
Lead end‑to‑end program management: planning, budgeting, execution, and evaluation.
Integrate emerging trends such as AI‑driven personalization, experiential learning, digital‑first methodologies, etc.
Drive continuous improvement using analytics, participant feedback, and impact measurement.
50% - LMS/LXP Process and Experience Functional Lead
Oversee core LMS/LXP platform implementation, rollout, and adoption across all user groups.
Manage governance, process design, documentation, and continuous improvement of core LMS/LXP and processes in collaboration with the HR Experience and Business teams.
Ensure compliance with global data privacy and AI governance standards (GDPR).
Define and execute global functional strategy for learning technology with emphasis on AI‑enabled capabilities: personalization engines, skills inference, content curation, and adaptive learning.
Stay current with trends in learning science, educational technology, Generative AI, and skills intelligence platforms.
Cross‑Functional Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with learning teams, business leaders, SMEs, and end users globally to align initiatives.
Change Management: Lead platform rollouts, program launches, and process improvements; oversee training for administrators and superusers.
Project & Program Management: Ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Vendor Management: Manage contracts, quality assurance, cost‑efficiency, and performance.
Thought Leadership: Serve as internal expert on learning innovation and learning technology strategy.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, Psychology, Education, or related field (Master's preferred).
10+ years in Learning & Development with proven success designing and delivering leadership programs in global environments.
Demonstrated experience partnering with business schools and external providers to develop and evolve leadership curricula.
Proven expertise in program and project management in multinational, complex organizations.
Technical & Functional Skills
Deep expertise in instructional design methodologies: blended learning, experiential learning, coaching‑based development, microlearning, and digital‑first approaches.
Advanced knowledge of learning standards (SCORM, xAPI, cmi5) and LMS/LXP platform technologies.
Hands‑on expertise in AI/Generative AI applications in learning design: content creation, recommendation engines, adaptive learning, and personalization.
Proven ability to (co‑)lead LMS/LXP implementation, platform optimization, and process redesign.
Strong proficiency with system integration, APIs, and enterprise systems connectivity.
Data analytics capability for learning impact measurement and skills intelligence.
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Design Thinking).
Leadership & Personal Qualities
Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Proven change management capabilities in complex, global organizations.
