    The Chemistry and Raw Materials team at Cytiva is responsible for monitoring and characterizing raw materials used in cell culture media. We are a cross functional team that provides technical support for Cytiva quality teams, MSAT, product engineering, R&D, sourcing, planning, and product management. We also regularly present at conferences and develop material for Cytiva commercial teams.

    A Lead Scientist in the Chemistry and Raw Materials team will further the raw material characterization of materials used in cell culture media. They will maintain analytical instruments and develop methods for analyzing the critical quality attributes of raw materials. They will also be responsible for training and mentoring other scientists.

    What you’ll do:

    • Develop methods for and perform analytical testing on raw materials

    • Apply scientific understanding to plan and execute investigations of raw material questions or problems

    • Provide raw material technical support for other teams within Cytiva

    • Prepare and present both oral and written presentations for internal and external audiences

    Who you are:

    • PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field; or MS in a related field with 2+ years of experience in industry; or BS in a related field with 4+ years of experience in industry

    • Experience using equipment like HPLC, UHPLC, LC-MS, ICP-MS, QToF etc.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and German.

    It would be a plus if you also had:

    • Experience analyzing large data sets using coding (Python, R, etc.) and bioinformatic tools

    • Experience using analytical instrument software (Empower, Masshunter, etc.)

    • Knowledge of good manufacturing processes

    The The Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) Scientist II​ is responsible for providing technical pre and post-sale support for the integration of Cytiva filtration technologies into customer process in collaboration with the commercial team  and R&D

     

    This position reports to the Senior Manager - MSAT  and is part of the EU Filtration Customer Success (FCS) located in Austria and will be fully remote.

    In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

    • Application of Cytiva Bioprocess filtration products (normal and tangential flow filtration)  to create process solutions.

    • Conduct feasibility assessments, technical consultations, training and bench trials at customers. Maintain close customer contact during projects. This will involve travel to customer sites for technical meetings or to perform test work, giving technical presentations and updating customers of project status.

    • Technical consultation involving scale up/scale down testing plans and data review, sizing and compatibility recommendations, troubleshooting customer technical issues and field investigations.

    • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current regulatory trends, issues and guidelines relating to the products being supported.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field. Master’s Degree in life science, Chemical or Biological Engineering preferred.   

    • 3+ years of experience in the Biopharmaceutical industry, preferably in MSAT or PD role.

    • Technical support experience.

    • Fluent English and good communication skills.

    • Advanced proficiency in German is considered an advantage.

    Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

    • Valid driving licence

    • You are willing and able to travel up to 50%, primarily within Europe.

    • Ability to travel weekly for customer support located mainly in central, north and east Europe.

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

    • Knowledge of the regulatory framework for drug manufacturing.

    • Knowledge of main purification techniques used for drug manufacturing.

    • Commercial experience.

    To strengthen our Supply Chain Management team, we are looking for a Warehouse Leader (f/m/d) at the earliest possible start date.

    What you will do:

    • Organize our daily warehouse processes (SQDIP), monitor KPI, plan staffing for our diverse team, motivate your team, and develop your successor

    • Act as a subject matter expert (SME), representing these competencies internally and externally in both English and German (GMP/GDP)

    • Collaborate proactively within the Supply Chain Leadership Team and participate in site projects; act as deputy and natural successor to the Supply Chain Manager

    Who you are:

    • University degree or equivalent experience in supply chain or logistics

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international environment (German and English)

    • Proactive, hands-on mindset paired with strong decision-making and leadership skills

    • Experience in troubleshooting and efficient problem-solving, even under operational pressure

    • Ambitious and eager to grow

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

    • Experience with LEAN methodologies and knowledge of Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

    The actual salary typically ranges from €4,300 to €4,800 gross per month (full-time), depending on qualifications and professional experience.
