    Technical Operations Specialist (m/f/d)


    Aufgaben
    • Coordinate the scheduling and execution of wagon maintenance activities across European workshops and act as the central point of contact for maintenance orders and planning
    • Maintain accurate and complete maintenance documentation, ensuring full traceability and compliance with respective quality standards
    • Monitor key maintenance KPIs, including revision progress, order status and workshop performance and prepare regular operational reports
    • Support audits and inspections by ensuring documentation is complete and consistent
    • Facilitate communication between workshops, suppliers and internal stakeholders to align priorities, timelines and service quality expectations
    • Support the resolution of operational issues through structured coordination
    • Support in tracking of operational budgets and control of costs for maintenance activities
    • Contribute to the identification of process improvement and cost-efficiency opportunities

    Profil
    • Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or another relevant technical field
    • Experience in an office-based role; experience in maintenance coordination, fleet management or operations support is an advantage
    • Understanding of technical documentation, knowledge of regulatory requirements in transport or logistics is a plus
    • Fluency in German and English (must-have), additional languages are a plus
    • Strong organizational, coordination and communication skills with a structured and detail-oriented working style
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, experience with SAP or other maintenance management systems is an advantage
    • Driver's license (for occasional visits to workshops)

    We are looking for an experienced, hands-on leader to take on the key role of

    Workshop Management Operations Manager (m/f/d)

    This pivotal role involves leading and overseeing the operational execution and coordination of freight wagon maintenance across six European sites. You will ensure that our rail freight assets are maintained to the highest standards of safety, availability and reliability, while leading a multicultural, geographically distributed team. Your passion for performance excellence will drive and lead the entire department.

    The position can be located in one of our offices in Hamburg, Vienna or Warsaw.


    Aufgaben
    • Operational Management:
      Take the lead in overseeing the daily operations and performance of all GRE maintenance activities across all locations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, maintenance schedules and quality requirements.
    • Leadership & Team Development:
      Lead and develop a team of maintenance managers and technicians spanning six European sites. Encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing and high performance throughout the network.
    • Process Optimization:
      Implement standardized maintenance processes and best practices to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure asset availability.
    • Budget & Resource Management:
      Manage operational budgets, control maintenance costs, and allocate resources efficiently across the sites.
    • Supplier & Workshop Coordination:
      Ensure that service delivery is both timely and high-quality by collaborating with external maintenance and service providers, especially workshops.
    • Compliance & Safety:
      Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant regulations (e.g. ECM), technical standards, and internal safety protocols. This includes Rail Maintenance Policy Management in line with the concept of GRE's Rail Maintenance Policy.
    • Performance Monitoring:
      Define and track KPIs relating to maintenance effectiveness, fleet availability and cost efficiency. Prepare reports and present insights to senior management.
    • Continuous Improvement:
      Focus on driving continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance planning, execution and cross-site collaboration.
    • Key interface to Market Operations:
      Ensure that maintenance requirements are coordinated with customer requirements in Market Operations. Effectively manage requests with a focus on customer satisfaction, driving the operational execution of 'high attention' requests until completion.

    Profil
    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Transportation, or a related technical field
    • 7+ years of experience in rail freight, industrial maintenance, or fleet operations
    • Proven leadership experience in a multi-site, international environment
    • Strong understanding of wagon technology, maintenance standards and ECM requirements
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Excellent knowledge of English and at least one other European language, preferably German or Polish, to the same level. Additional languages are a plus.
    • High willingness to travel regularly within Europe (>50%) due to the six locations to be managed

    Role Overview

    The SAP Inhouse Consultant (FI/CO) will be responsible for supporting, enhancing, and optimizing our SAP landscape across both ECC6 and S/4HANA environments. The role requires strong functional expertise in FI/CO, hands-on experience with basic customizing, and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external service providers. The expert will translate business requirements into technical specifications, oversee implementation quality, and ensure successful testing and deployment of SAP solutions.


    • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for SAP FI/CO
    • Perform basic customizing activities in SAP FI and CO modules
    • Support and optimize existing SAP ECC6 and S/4HANA processes
    • Coordinate and manage external consultants, including requirement clarification, quality assurance, and timeline monitoring
    • Conduct functional and technical tests based on business requirements
    • Support E-Invoicing processes via SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) across multiple countries
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SD, MM, PP) to ensure end-to-end process integration
    • Provide 2nd-level support for SAP FI/CO incidents and change requests
    • Document system changes, processes, and test results
    • Participate in SAP projects, rollouts, and upgrades
    • Ensure compliance with internal IT governance and security standards

    • Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA and SAP ECC6
    • Deep functional knowledge of SAP FI/CO, including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting and Controlling
    • Understanding of accounting and controlling processes, supported by basic FI/CO customizing skills
