Requirements: The following criteria are required for the job, depending on working experience and level of professorship (Assistant, Associate Professor). PhD in Law from a renowned Faculty of Law in a civil or common law jurisdiction. Additional (interdisciplinary) postgraduate degrees such as an MBA is an advantage; Demonstrated scholarly track-record and practical teaching experience in the area of international business law and financial regulation Demonstrated commitment to advance scientific research;Proven participation in third-party funded research projects and teams; Demonstrated pedagogic and didactic success in university-level teaching; Active international engagement with academic and non-academic stakeholders; Professional qualifications, e.g., relevant national bar membership is considered an advantage; Ability to teach and publish in English; ability to teach and publish in German is an advantage. For the position of Associate Professor rank, the following additional requirements apply: A habilitation or equivalent post-doctoral experience; A distinguished track-record in acquiring and leading externally funded high-level research projects and grants as a Principal Investigator; Experience in supervising PhD students; Outstanding scientific reputation with internationally recognized peer-reviewed publications and active conferences participation; Proven track record in developing curricula; Demonstrated leadership responsibilities. Our offer: WVPU supports an attractive environment for ambitious academics. Employment contracts are initially offered for a fixed term of five years. Following a comprehensive evaluation process, based on the successful completion and assessment of an individually agreed performance agreement, candidates may, upon mutual agreement with WVPU, transition to a position with an unlimited contract. We offer accredited programs in our Business and Management, International Relations, Media Communications, Psychology and Computer Science Departments.

    We are looking for an ambitious new team member to join our Admissions unit in the role of:

    Admissions Officer (f/m/d)

    Full time (40 hours/week) - starting date: February 2026

    Maternity leave replacement contract (min. 1 year)


    An Admissions Officer manages and facilitates the application process and maintains relationships with prospective students from initial inquiry to a final acceptance, thereby helping maximize conversion rates from the inquiry to the admission stage in the admissions funnel.

    • Respond to inquiries; establish and maintain end-to-end communication with prospective students regarding relevant programs, services, admissions criteria and deadlines.
    • Review and evaluate credential of prospective students in accordance with admission guidelines, university policies and criteria including eligibility for transfer credits and for prerequisite classes or waiver exams; hand over completed new student files to academic departments;
    • Communicate official admissions decisions/recommendations and issue acceptance or denial letters;
    • Meet with and conduct campus tours for prospective students and their families, agents and school counsellors;
    • Regularly update and maintain all relevant data on prospects and applicants in the university's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system;
    • Liaise with Webster St. Louis and other international campuses to ensure adherence to admissions policies and define best practices on the shared CRM;
    • Represent WVPU and support all recruitment and outreach activities including international fairs, high school presentations and on campus events.
    • Make recommendations to the Head of Admissions for application process improvements, especially with complicated and exceptional admissions cases;
    • Manage, record, track, and monitor leads and lead conversion, provide feedback on and suggest improvements to recruitment strategies in close collaboration with the Marketing Department;
    • Update relevant guidance on the student visa application process as necessary;
    • Assist in New Student Orientation sessions when necessary;

    • University degree, Bachelor equivalent or equivalent work experience in an Admissions teams of an academic institution
    • Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in an educational institution or multicultural organization
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), online / cloud-based programs; experience in using CRM platforms is an asset
    • Fluent in oral and written English, Fluency in the German language is an asset
    • Team, detail, and goal oriented multitasker with experience working in a multicultural environment.
    • Good organizational and time management skills

    to expand and strengthen our research section in the newly created Department of Law
