What you'll do

We are looking for a student supporting the Process Engineering Team inwet clean studies of novel materials, novel test structures or novel equipment features for advanced tech nodes.

Your tasks:

• Support the Process Engineering Team for lab activities, analytical studies and research
• Perform fundamental studies to determine the most suited solution approaches
• Conduct experiments with wet chemicals in beaker and on system level

University Master student in one of the following areas:

The Impact You'll Make

At Lam, as an EH&S Engineer, you're instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental safety programs and policies. Ensuring compliance with regulations, you'll perform safety inspections, conduct trainings, and oversee hazardous waste vendors and processes. • Develops, monitors and supports EHS functions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Works collaboratively with stakeholders, teammates, and other support resources.
• Leads projects to address EHS AOP objectives.
• Owns EHS programs that are subject to significant change, re-development, or improvement.
• Capable of motivating stakeholders to meet commitments towards EHS objectives.

• Makes interpretations to EHS regulations and protocols in alignment with EHS leadership.

Who We're Looking For

• Technical education on technical Highschool (HTL) or equivalent
• Safety degree, experience, and certifications are required:
• Minimum 5 year's experience in workplace safety (Safety officer – Sicherheitsvertrauensperson)
• Certified as workplace safety specialist (Sicherheitsfachkraft) according Austrian law
• Familiar with quality management and ISO standards (9001, 14001, 27001, 45001)
• Good knowledge of EHS regulations, codes, guidelines, and agencies
• Very good German and English communication skills
• Familiarity with working in a semiconductor laboratory and on semiconductor equipment
• Very good knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

As a Process Technician at Lam, you are a vital part of the team in actively supporting process development, product development, and research and development (R&D). You'll prepare material for tests, conduct experiments, process test runs, and present findings to the internal key stakeholders. Your technical expertise supports process development, contributing to Lam's commitment to innovation.

What you'll do

• Support Process Engineers in preparation for wafer fabrication equipment (WFE) tests, equipment setup, experiments, data collection, and sample submissions
• Operate processing equipment and advanced tools with recipes defined by process engineering teams to collect experiment results and to evaluate chemistry properties
• Process test runs and prepares records, charts, and schematics of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield optimization areas
• Provide technical assistance to process development teams and process engineers
• Assist in technical troubleshooting and improvement opportunities of the application lab tools and experiment setups

• Associates degree in technical field, technical certificate, college (HTL, Kolleg)
• Ability to work in a clean room environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment (PPE), cleanroom suit

Compensation

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry (https://www.metalltechnischeindustrie.at/fileadmin/content/Dokumente/Kollektivvertrag/KV-2025_2026/FMTI_Mindesgehaltstabelle_2025.pdf), according to the education level. Minimum gross monthly Salaries for fulltime internship employment are therefore:

• 1.295,40 EUR (2 Lj./Tab I) - students without Matura under 18 years
• 1.596,26 EUR (2 Lj./Tab II) - students without Matura above 18 years

The impact you'll make

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives. This position acts as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, serving as a change agent and employee champion. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

This position requires strong cross-team collaboration across multiple functions and close partnership with HR teammates across Villach and Salzburg and in the US.

What you'll do

As Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) in the Austria HR Team, you will collaborate with your internal clients in developing and delivering people solutions to business needs.

• Partner with leadership to develop and implement effective organizational and people-related strategies
• Collaborate with your internal clients to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results
• Deliver people solutions to creatively solve business challenges in areas such as employee engagement, workforce planning, cultural change, compensation review and change management
• Guide and coach people managers on how to appropriately manage and resolve people or organizational challenges (e.g. sucession planning, performance management, conflict management, retention)
• Provide HR expertise in the areas of feedback, employee relations, development and coaching, compensation, and organizational development
• Partner with other HRBPs, cross functional teams and HR COEs such as Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition in developing and delivering the best practices to the business groups
• Analyze and interpret data to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to your client group. Use relevant sources to produce key indicators and insights to the business to monitor the effectiveness of the people agenda
• Participate in company-wide programs and initiatives, develop and interpret local HR policies, procedures, guidelines, and programs ensuring alignment with Lam Research Corporate Programs while meeting the local business needs and compliance

• Minimum bachelor's degree in business or human resources
• 10+ years of experience in HR for multiple disciplines
• At least 5 years of HR business partnering experience
• Passionate in making a difference and in playing a role in organization transformation
• Experience developing and leading strategic staffing initiatives
• Ability to work collaboratively across organizations
• Ability to build trusted partnerships and influence outcomes at varying levels of the business
• Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills and ability to handle sensitive situations/documentation
• Strong skills in spoken and written German (native level) and English language
• Strong focus on results
• Semiconductor and/or high-tech industry exposure a plus

What We're Offering

This position will be occupied in Villach. It is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry (https://www.metalltechnischeindustrie.at/fileadmin/content/Dokumente/Kollektivvertrag/KV-2025_2026/FMTI_Mindesgehaltstabelle_2025.pdf) in occupation group G depending on educational background. A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
