    The Impact You Will Make

    At Lam, as a Supplier Test Technician, you play a critical role in supporting the design, testing, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry, and specialized test equipment. Using schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation, you perform thorough testing and troubleshooting, including fault isolation and support in identifying effective corrective actions under the guidance of Supplier Test Engineers.

    In this role, you directly contribute to resolving day-to-day test-related line-down issues at remote factory sites, ensuring continuity of operations and maintaining high standards of quality and reliability across Lam's engineering systems.

    What You Will Do

      Execute and support test processes and test fixtures for Lam systems in accordance with defined procedures and work instructions
      Improve and update test fixtures at remote factory locations under guidance of Supplier Test Engineers
      Support test fixture transitions, duplication, rebuilds, and setup activities in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering teams and Supplier Test Engineer
      Provide remote and on-site support during test-related line-down situations to restore production quickly and safely
      Perform system-level and component-level electrical and mechanical testing and troubleshooting
      Use test and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus
      Accurately document failures, corrective actions, and fixture updates to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement through lam system
      Maintain and update test documentation and test fixture Bills of Materials (BOMs) as required
      Escalate unresolved or systemic issues to Supplier Test Engineers, Leads, or Supervisors in a timely and structured manner
      Support Manufacturing Engineering activities in cleanroom production, including assembly instruction support and BOM verification for test fixtures
      Ensure compliance with Lam quality, safety, and cleanroom standards
      Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support daily manufacturing operations

      Technical education in Electronics or Mechatronics (Technical High School preferred) or equivalent experience
      Minimum of 3 years of relevant technical experience
      Solid understanding of electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals
      Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronic systems
      Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices is a plus
      Hands-on experience with CAD, NX or similar tools
      Strong team player with a solution-oriented mindset
      Proficiency in MS Office applications
      Self-managed, proactive working style
      Willingness to work overtime when required and travel to supplier or Lam sites
      Effective written and verbal communication skills in English

    • Support the introduction of new products/components, design changes, or process updates by assessing test impact and readiness at supplier sites.
    • Define and maintain supplier test best practices to ensure consistency across remote factories.
    • Escalate unresolved or systemic issues to Leads, or Supervisors in a timely and structured manner.
    • Perform system-level and component-level electrical and mechanical testing and troubleshooting.
    • Utilize test and diagnostic equipment, including test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.
    • Define and document test and diagnostic programs, including procedures to support testing of new components based on Non Standard Request or Change Orders.
    • Design and develop cost-effective testing methods for systems and equipment throughout product development and manufacturing phases.
    • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team, suppliers, account teams, and Supplier Engineering Technology (SET) members to ensure seamless integration and smooth transitions.
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to influence decisions and drive company objectives

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent qualification
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in test engineering, manufacturing engineering, or supplier support roles
    • Experience with test stands and programming (Python, LabVIEW, C, or C++ preferred)

    • Apart from training courses you are also responsible for the preparation of detailed training course documentation, certification programs and furthermore also for the support of our training participants
    • Conduct technical training courses for customers and/or employees in the use of complex situations for multiple products.
    • Interact with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses
    • Prepare lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation. Work with engineering, technical support and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features
    • Instruct participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions
    • Follow up to determine applicability of course material

    Who we're looking for

    • Minimum 5 years related experience with a technical Bachelor's Degree
    • If you hold a technical Masters Degree, please apply even without any relevant working experience
    • Equivalent work experience without an academical education would be an alternative
    • Proficiency in English

    Preferred qualifications

    • 3+ years' experience semiconductor manufacturing processing equipment
    • High level mechanical aptitude required

    As a Global Product Support Engineer at Lam, you're the backbone of technical support for field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel. Your expertise is crucial in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex semiconductor equipment. Your swift action in responding to situations is critical in resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction of Lam's valued customers.

    What you'll do

    • Responsible for providing quality on-site repair and maintenance service of complex electro-mechanicalsystems. Analytical troubleshooting of technical problems to component level
    • Performs complete installation/relocation start-up services
    • Troubleshoots equipment problems and conduct diagnostic procedures to isolate problems and take stepsto minimize downtime or system interruptions and eliminate equipment malfunctions. Determine correctiveactions as required
    • Performs installations and/or relocations of equipment at customers' sites
    • Remains up to date on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals and otherrelevant materials
    • Assists in complex field modifications and updates as released in Engineering Change Notifications

    • Technical education in electronics, engineering or other applicable field of study (HTL/Bachelor)
    • 10+ years of work experience, including 3+ years of relevant semi-conductors work experience
    • Solid knowledge of Clean-Technology products
    • Able to work rapidly for prolonged periods of time, including bending, stooping, reaching, walking, sittingand standing in one location
    • Understand and work from electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams
    • Ability to interpret operation manuals to determine root cause of tool failures
    • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Work independently, cooperatively in a team or with customers completing assignments with minimalsupervision and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
