    Simulation Engineer - CFD


    Aufgaben

    In this role, you will drive the implementation and application of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations at AT&S to support process development and manufacturing optimization. You will collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, production, and material testing teams to improve process understanding, innovation, and operational excellence.

    • Develop and implement CFD simulation capabilities for manufacturing and process development
    • Perform simulations for wet chemical processes and thermosetting material flows
    • Support process optimization from R&D to high-volume production of PCBs, IC substrates, and advanced packages
    • Analyze simulation results and derive practical process improvements
    • Collaborate with production, process development, and material testing teams
    • Validate and continuously improve simulation models and methods
    • Support the selection and optimization of CFD software and workflows
    • Document and present simulation results to technical stakeholders

    Profil
    • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field
    • Proven experience in CFD or process simulation at least 2 years
    • Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and material flow behavior
    • Experience with Moldex3D is an advantage
    • Experience in high-viscosity thermosetting material simulation and curing kinetics is a plus
    • Familiarity with wet chemical processes and CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent, Star-CCM+, COMSOL, or OpenFOAM is beneficial
    • Analytical, structured, and proactive working style with strong problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills and fluent written and spoken English

    Continuous Improvement Engineer


    Aufgaben

    In your role, you bring structure and momentum to complex quality and operational topics by connecting stakeholders, ensuring transparency, and driving sustainable improvements across production and quality functions.

    • Identify inefficiencies using data analysis, observation, and root cause methodologies to drive targeted improvements
    • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects in manufacturing and operational areas
    • Develop and promote quality and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
    • Ensure transparency on activities, priorities, and progress within the department
    • Support structured handling of audits, PPCRs, qualifications, and deviations, including CAPA processes
    • Monitor KPIs and contribute to performance improvement strategies
    • Collaborate across departments to implement sustainable process enhancements and standardize best practices
    • Report progress, results, and improvement impact to senior management

    Profil
    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Operations Management, or a related field with proven experience in a comparable role
    • Proven experience in managing cross-functional topics, ideally within quality or audit-related environments
    • Strong knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, RCA, CAPA) and continuous improvement approaches (Lean, Six Sigma is a plus)
    • Familiarity with audit processes, qualification flows, and change management (e.g., PPCR) is advantageous
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to structure complex topics
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across functions
    • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with high ownership and accountability
    • Resilience, adaptability, and a hands-on approach in dynamic environments
