We ensure that IT provision meets the city's current and future needs. We drive the digitalization of the city of Munich and play a pioneering role. As part of the IT department, we ensure a modern IT and telecommunications infrastructure, implement professional IT solutions and secure the IT operations of the City of Munich with over 1,200 employees in our own company it@M. What you can expect As an IT architect for IT infrastructure, you will work at the interface between IT strategy, IT management and operational IT areas. You not only shape technical IT architectures, but also play a key role in shaping the company architecture. You will therefore play an important role in IT development planning and be the point of contact for all IT infrastructure issues with a focus on the cloud, data centers (storage, virtualization, archiving, backup, etc.). You will work in an IT architecture team consisting of colleagues with a focus on other technical domains. Together, you will shape the city-wide IT architecture and determine the technological development of the City of Munich. As a subject area expert, you will proactively evaluate technological developments, advise stakeholders and thus support the further development of the city's IT infrastructure. Your work will not only cover the city's data center, but also the merging of physical server systems with cloud services and the use of modern storage and backup solutions. You have architectural responsibility for the conception, design and development of solutions. You will play a key role in determining the architecture modeling and manage its technical implementation. This is done in close coordination with the city's application development department and Enterprise Architecture Management.
