Experienced Chief Financial Officer required
Finexia Financial Group Limited (ASX:FNX) is an independent financial services firm, specialising in private credit, funds management and advisory. Finexia was listed on the ASX in 2015 and has offices in Sydney and Surfers Paradise.
As a result of structural changes within the Group, we now seek to add Chief Financial Officer to our Sydney office located in the CBD.
What you will do In this dynamic position, your expertise will be pivotal in enhancing the strategy and operations for our financial services group.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CEO and Board to define and execute the Group’s financial strategy, capital management, short and long-term growth objectives.
Financial Reporting & Planning: Oversee the preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial reports, budgets, and rolling forecasts for all entities.
Strategic Analysis: Lead business modelling, risk assessment, financial due diligence and strategic initiatives.
ASX Compliance: Manage all ASX listing rule requirements, including half-year and annual reporting, continuous disclosure obligations, and regulatory filings.
Tax: Manage tax compliance and planning.
Audit: Coordinate external audits and planning.
Operational Finance: Enhance and automate financial systems and processes to drive efficiency. Oversee AP, AR & payroll functions.
Commercial Advisory: Provide high-level commercial insights on legal agreements, complex contracts, and strategic partnerships.
Capital Allocation: Drive cost-efficiency and performance metrics across the Group’s portfolio.
Investor Relations: Lead the Group’s investor relations strategy, managing communications with shareholders, conducting analyst briefings, and representing the company at any investor events.
Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting. CA/CPA is required.
Exceptional knowledge of AASB and IAS accounting standards.
Highly skilled tax effect understanding for consolidated group entities.
Experience: 5+ years of progressive finance experience, with a significant portion in senior leadership (CFO, VP Finance, or Head of Finance) within an ASX-listed environment.
Public Markets: Proven track record in public market reporting and corporate governance.
Technical Excellence: Exceptional financial modelling capabilities and the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategic insights.
Communication: A sophisticated communicator able to engage effectively with the Board, institutional investors, and stakeholders.
Legal Acumen: Proven ability to navigate, review, and interpret complex legal and regulatory contracts.
Mindset: An energetic, proactive, and entrepreneurial attitude with meticulous attention to detail and a "hands-on" approach to problem-solving.
Finexia is no ordinary firm. Things move fast here and we respond swiftly to new opportunities and challenges. Whilst we are somewhat flexible, this role is generally fulltime in the office.
