Aufgaben The impact you'll make
As a Process Engineer at Lam, you will operate on cutting-edge technology, harnessing atomic precision, material science, and surface engineering to push technical boundaries. Your role involves developing new and advanced process formulations, defining equipment hardware to meet processing requirements, evaluating test data, and coordinating design requirements to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Your expertise and knowledge play a crucial role our customers success, making an impact on the next generation of semiconductor breakthroughs.
What you'll do
- Responsible for performing professional process engineering research, development and evaluation in semiconductor environment
- Reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication and evaluation of products including in-house lab demonstrations
- Conceives and plans projects involving definition and selection of new concepts and approaches
- Works with customer and senior engineers cross functionally to understand roadmaps, process flow, inflection points, requirements and business issues/ challenges.
- Acts as customer technology manager in the planning, data collection, analysis and reporting
- Acts as single point of contact accountable for process related customer requests
- Drives introduction and evaluation of new technologies at customer sites including new tool qualifications

- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
- Works with cross-functional teams to get information and results needed
- Flexibility to travel to meet business requirements (
Profil - MSc in in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics with 3+ years of Process Engineer experience in the semiconductor industry in the field of wet clean/advanced packaging
- Familiarity with working in a chemical laboratory, having experience in surface preparation and analytical techniques
- In-depth understanding and experience in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE)
- Excellent social skills with ability to work within diverse teams
- Creative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilities, able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills in English

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry ( ) in the occupation group E depending on educational background. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
